Welcome to my webpage! If you cannot find the information you are searching for, please e-mail me to:

adrianadelorenzocaceres ..at.. gmail.com

My name is Adriana de Lorenzo-Cáceres Rodríguez, Ph.D. in Astrophysics currently working at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC; Tenerife, Spain).

I was born in Tenerife, where I obtained my PhD in 2012 from Universidad de La Laguna (Tenerife, Spain) with a project developed at the IAC under the supervision of Dr. Alexandre Vazdekis. From 2013 to 2015 I was a Research Fellow at the University of St Andrews (Scotland, UK), where I went back in 2016 as a research visitor. In the meanwhile, I enjoyed a postdoctoral position at Universidad de Granada (Granada, Spain). In 2016 I worked at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM, Ciudad de México, México) before coming bak home in 2017 as a postdoctoral fellow at the IAC.

I work on Extragalactic Astrophysics. My main field of expertise is the formation and evolution of nearby galaxies, which I analyse through their optical spectra in order to determine the properties of their stellar populations and gaseous content. I am particularly interested in the case of single- and double-barred galaxies, but I have also worked on time-resolved observations of active galaxies and, more recently, on dwarf galaxies.

You are very welcome to my webpage!!! If you want to know more about my research, my academic career, and the outreach activities I coordinate or I participate in, please stay and navigate!!!
