Welcome to my webpage! If you cannot find the information you are searching for, please e-mail me to:

My name is Adriana de Lorenzo-Cáceres Rodríguez, Ph.D. in Astrophysics currently working at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC; Tenerife, Spain).

I was born in Tenerife, where I obtained my PhD in 2012 from Universidad de La Laguna (Tenerife, Spain) with a project developed at the IAC under the supervision of Dr. Alexandre Vazdekis. From 2013 to 2015 I was a Research Fellow at the University of St Andrews (Scotland, UK), where I went back in 2016 as a research visitor. In the meanwhile, I enjoyed a postdoctoral position at Universidad de Granada (Granada, Spain). In 2016 I worked at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM, Ciudad de México, México) before going back home in 2017 as a postdoctoral fellow at the IAC. I was a Research Fellow at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Madrid, Spain) from 2020 to 2021, when I was selected as a Severo Ochoa Advanced Fellow at the IAC (current post).

I work on Extragalactic Astrophysics. My main field of expertise is the formation and evolution of nearby galaxies, which I analyse through their optical spectra in order to determine the properties of their stellar populations and gaseous content. I am particularly interested in the case of single- and double-barred galaxies, but I have also worked on time-resolved observations of active galaxies and, more recently, on dwarf galaxies.
